Ewelina Sokołowska, Ph.D. DSc in Economics, Professor of Economics, and Head of the Department of Digital Economy and Finance at the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Gdańsk University of Technology.

She holds a master's degree in economics with a specialization in financial management. She completed her studies at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where she also defended her doctoral dissertation. She obtained a Ph.D. in economics in the discipline of economics based on the dissertation entitled "Evolution and Directions of Development of the Exchange-Traded Derivatives Market." She obtained the postdoctoral degree in economics, specializing in finance, in 2017 at the Faculty of Management of the University of Gdańsk. The basis for habilitation was her scholarly achievement entitled "Standards in Alternative Investment Management. A Study of the Global Market."

Her expertise lies in the broad field of finance, primarily in corporate finance, capital market analysis, with a particular focus on the analysis of financial innovations. She is the author of numerous scientific and industry publications, including monographs published by renowned global publishers. She participates in numerous research projects, holding both managerial and executive positions. She has lectured at universities in Poland and abroad.

In addition to her academic work, she has been involved in economic and social activities for many years. She provides advice on economics and finance and has authored many opinions and expert analyses, supporting entities from both the public and private sectors in making strategic financial decisions.
